Future Closer?

Manny Delcarmen called up today. Mid 90s fastball that touches 99. Electric 12-6 curveball. This guy could be a perfect bullpen guy, whether closing or setting up. Also nasty college closer Craig Hensen is in the fold.

This is one area where I hope the Sox can make strides in - reliever prospects. Alot of the recently good pitching teams seem to be able to develop boatloads of these guys. Oakland - Bradford, Street. LA - Gagne, Brazoban. Houston - Wagner, Dotel, Lidge. Minnesota - Hawkins, Crain, Rincon. LAAngels - Percival, Francisco Rodriguez. SF - Nathan, Walker, Felix Rodriguez.

Let's hope the sox can churn out some stud BP guys in the next few years.

i cant believe i just saw that. crawford hits a laser to the right ear on clement, knocks him completely down. one of the scariest things i've ever seen. clement was barely moving. i hope he's ok. that was horrible. i have a bad feeling that he wont be coming back.
