The Big Tardy One.

pky
horrible game in toronto last night. brace yourself for more of this garbage, as wells pitches tonight, and his prior record indicates that he will suck too. i was surprised at how dominant clement was in the first half- he completely made me rethink what kind of pitcher he was, but he's his usual self in the second half. this is what i thought we were getting.

i'm going to start posting my own ascii art, inspiration due to ep for sending me that asciibabes link. there's nothing better than ascii art. it's money.

david ortiz should be MVP. but he wont be.

i dunno if anyone else noticed this, but I was getting particularly sick of hearing all the sports radio guys and the national media talk about 3 straight Super Bowls, 4 in 5 years, all that crap. it's the beginning of the freaking season. stfu. how about we talk about this when the Patriots GET to the super bowl this year? i cant stand these bandwagon retards. get a life, get your own opinion, and for once, think about wtf you're saying. for the record, i do think the patriots will get to the super bowl this year, but you wont hear me talking about that crap until it happens. period. it's simple. seeing that we dont even know what's going to happen in week 2, we're not going to talk about in week 20. S.T.F.U. you, you, you, you, you, you, you...

barry bonds is a bitch. coming out with a little kid to avoid being booed. good work. the kid's parents should be booed for letting him be used like that for such a prick.

fact of the year:
-Kanye West is a bitch. I used to like some of his music, but not so anymore. what a communist. what an idiotic commie. he should go to iraq to see what it REALLY looks like when a government mandates its army and national guard to SHOOT AT ITS CITIZENS. good work taking the time during a TELETHON TO RAISE MONEY FOR VICTIMS to put in an ignorant shot to the president. i'm sure people heard that and were just overwhelmed to donate to that babbling retard. i hope he never sells another record forever.

Fall Schedule
What's On: September 2005
* September 19: Arrested Development returns for its third season on FOX.
* September 21: Lost is continued in its second season premiere on ABC.
* September 25: Curb Your Enthusiasm returns for its fifth season on HBO.
* Family Guy already premiered. I missed it unfortunately, but that cow having her udders squeezed, shrieking was hilarious. it doesnt get much better than that.

Invasion looks kind of intriguing, but we'll see how it goes. kind of an XFiles rip off. there are so many weird shows like this coming out. lame.

i cant get into prison break. i'm officially off it. i was intrigued a little after 2-3 episodes, but apparently not enough to watch it again. with these three juggernauts coming up, who cares about PB?

that Serenity movie looks like it has promise. and that's about it for hollywood. just fold guys. let batman continue, but fold. i'm getting so sick of these hollywood panzies cry about lost profits, as if it was an entitlement. screw you. i hope you all go bankrupt and hollywood ends. 9/10 movies now are pure garbage. shame on all of them. and a big steaming log of crap too, for wasting my time.

Michael Felger surprisingly opened my eyes to what my lifelong motto is a few weeks ago when he said it. [paraphrase] "Dont take up my damn time, especially if I dont know you." I'm not sure it can be said any better than that, but one of my new life's purposes will be to continually refine this statement until it has reached perfection.

--------------------------
Ten+ Things I Know I Know
--------------------------
-in my double elimination NFL league, i am now 0-1, after picking the bitch Rams, who lost to the bitch 49ers. what's worse, the bitch team who loses to the bigger bitch team, or the bitch who picks the bitch team in a double elimination league? i'd say the latter is worse, cause the rams are hapless.
-...one more loss, and I'm out.
-i know that if i pick the patriots next week, they'll lose. so i gotta find another gem. i figure i might be able to ride green bay to success. that is, whoever plays green bay.
-i hope favre stays in the league forever, cause he's terrible.
-for the record, i predicted detroit to beat them. so i guess that balances out my STL pick. dunno what I was thinking picking a STL team to win ANYTHING...
-and the eagles lose to the falcons. the idiot pundits would say that it was because of the nebulous ATL home field advantage. please. please. it was because the eagles couldnt execute for their lives, and stupid trotter got into a fight before the game. great strategy on ATL's part. mcnabb looked terrible. as did vick. battle of the NFC stalwarts. it was a pathetic game to watch.
-it occurred to me watching the game yesterday that Vick has the same windup as Rohan Davey. it's like a pitcher's windup. it looks like a curt schilling out there. "hike" [take one step back, one step forward, wind arm for throw, and release 3/4 style]. it's bizarre to watch. Rohan Vick. Michael Davey. call it what you want. no wonder he cant throw. I should be a QB coach.
-against the colts, we should send out ty poole to clash heads with marvin harrison. have the two of those guys get thrown out and get a little edge there... not that they'd need it, but it'd be funny to see the colts cry over yet another thing.
-speaking of ty poole, he's still on my shit list from SB38. for the record, I have no confidence in him. I know that he has some big plays that he CAN make, but lets be real. he wont. he's an overachiever for a player his size, but he does more harm than good IMO. I dont think he'll be on the team before the season ends. that, or he'll get hurt tripping and falling on himself again. as always. he is good for an interception once in a while, but overall, i see him getting burned on 1/4 of plays thrown to him. which is too many.
-michael holley made a great point the other day about manning. he said that before the afc championship game they played at foxboro in Jan 05, when the game started and the snow started to fall, manning looks up and says "oh, shit." sounds like a confident quarterback to me. sorry, good qbs and good teams DONT MAKE EXCUSES FOR THEMSELVES. the patriots play better in the snow and the cold because they CHOOSE TO. the colts prefer to whine about all their mishaps and losses. then they lobby for rule changes because they choose not to win their games. it's a choice losers. play like champions, or play like the colts. it's clear what their choice is. and that's why the colts will never win a super bowl, because they'll continue to invent excuses and reasons why they lose. and if and when the patriots play AT the colts, they will continue to beat them, because they choose to. and the colts will continue to be hapless against the superior team. look at their pitiful schedule. the only reason why they win is because they play teams that miraculously, have chosen not to win. except jax, and...
-for the record, i smell a colts loss to jax this year.
-the colts looked terrible against the ravens, who have negative offense. looks like the colts defense is exactly what we all thought it would be. it's funny that the pundits think the colts are gonna win this year just because they made some cosmetic upgrades to their def. except the dumbass pundits dont REALIZE that the biggest issue in the postseason for the colts is their offense, not the defense. they cant do ANYTHING with their offense. and usually what happens is that the patriots figure out their shoddy defense and demolish it. and the colts cry about it for another offseason.
-david ortiz should be a defensive lineman. gauging how good his hands are and how clutch this beast of a juggernaut is, he'd come up with a force fumble + subsequent recovery every time the patriots needed one to close out a game. he is the MVP of this team. and if not him, Damon, or Wakefield. With all due respect to Manny, I'm not sure he's aware that we're in a playoff run. and that rules him out, simply out of stupidity.
-Manny will be traded in the offseason.
-Vlad Guerrero is nasty. it's astounds me. but without Vlad, the angels are nowhere. glad vuerrero, as in boy am I glad vuerrero has no protection. i dont think they'll get far in the postseason. i'm not convinced their pitching is good enough. but then again.. are the red sox's?
-maybe. with wake pitching the way he has, that will be good to get us locked for the division, assuming schilling stabilizes and wells can continue his relatively decent streak. arro-yo continues to suck, and i'd like to see him in the BP and have Pap in the rotation, but francobitch isnt sharp enough to do that. he's content bringing timlin out in the 7th instead. clement has been ok, and if he continues, we'll be solid to win the division. my hope is that the last series against the yankees will be completely meaningless, and we can align our rotation to suit the ALDS, and we can send our AA guys to the field, and still sweep the yankees.
-keith foulke has has spurts of ok-ness, but i still think he's not good enough to be closing. but then again, neither is timlin, but he just eeks foulke out in effectiveness.
-arod pisses me so much. my ABSOLUTE NONPARTISAN opinion is that he is the garbage man. he smells, he's ugly, and he hits meaningless homeruns in meaningless games for a meaningless team with a meaningless owner with dipshit fans in a meaningless effort to catch the red sox. I mean no disrespect to garbage men, although, it is an absolute insult to garbagemen. sorry guys. we all value what you do. and arod smells like sour garbage.
-I hate week 1 of the NFL aka "pure upset week." my picks are completely in disarray. not looking good. my fantasy teams are ok... good work Trent Green for doing nothing. go play for the yankees.
-Jeremiah Trotter is an idiot for getting baited. way to be productive. make him bleed Reid.

some older thoughts that i should have posted earlier.

on the Patriots thursday night
a so so game to watch. that first drive was horrendous. the defense looked completely overmatched. fortunately, there really wasnt a point where i thought the patriots would lose. the offense looked like they havent lost a beat without weis. mcdaniels looks like he's 15. but that's ok, as long as he can do his job. our defense started slow, but looked like they're gonna be ok. the loss of crennel doesnt look to be a problem at all, esp given that belichick is a defensive genius. the issue of no bruschi and no johnson remains at large. beisel and brown did ok. but i dunno. i'm not buying just yet. the stupid raiders really should have thrown to porter more. glad they didnt. brady tore their defense apart, thanks to watson paving the way. brady and watson looked great. deion branch is still the man. this season looks to be a good one.

when the banner was lowered, goosebumps. too bad those goosebumps were there already from seeing ozzy's busted ass plastic mask face beforehand. he looked demonic. sunken ass eyes, floppy face, empty look. yikes. it was disgusting.

carolina, here we come.

on friday's game- david wells continues to underwhelm when he needs to step up. his little antic of acting pissed when he gets taken out of games is getting tiresome. if he's tearing the opposition up, on pace to throw a complete game, or is untouchable, be pissed as you want to be. but when you suck that much in the midst of a pennant run, stfu. when you're ineffective, shut up.

on saturday's game. schilling looked amazing. i expected him to make progress, but not that much progress. that was outstanding, and it was great to see him put the yankees back in their place at yankee stadium. what an awful place. he was completely lights out, and assuming that he's actually back and this wasnt a flukey game, then a few more things need to be put in place and fixed before we can actually contend for a WS shot this year.

on sunday's game. wakefield was amazing. 12 Ks, a career high. wakefield is an amazing human. he is an amazing player. no matter what he does, he gets my vote for anything. roberto clemente award, mvp (arguable), whatever it is, he's a candidate. his work ethic, his attitude toward the game and the clubhouse and his craft is incredible.
