Damon's "arm"

NY Post:
"At this rate, the Yankees are going to need 1,000 games to score those much talked-about 1,000 runs.
"
"...maybe you're starting to get a little worried that Someone Up There doesn't like the Yankees, specifically Rodriguez..."

Ny Daily News:

"Ask Johnny Damon about his left shoulder and he says it is fine, it is doing better, it is nothing to worry about. And then he says this: 'I'm trying to save as many bullets as I can.'

This seems to be his way of saying he knows the tendinitis in the shoulder never will be totally fine, never be totally better, never be absolutely nothing to worry about.

It also explains why he generally loops throws back to the infield after catching flyouts or when there is no danger of a runner advancing."
