Sele to the yanks

The Yankees have expressed interest in ex-Mariners pitcher Aaron Sele and are simply waiting to hear back from from him, according to the New York Daily News. General manager Brian Cashman spoke with Sele's agent, Adam Katz, earlier this week and said, "It's in (Sele's) hands. If he wants to come here, we'll work something out."

Since when did the Yankees start collecting other teams' trash – Al Leiter, Hideo Nomo, and, now, Aaron Sele? So this is what happens when the Boss doesn't open his wallet. Sele was 6-12 with a 5.66 ERA for the Mariners, so it's a long shot that he'll help the Yankees rotation.
