Mendoza joins Alan Embree and Mark Bellhorn as current Yankees who were members of last year's Red Sox. Mendoza used to enjoy wearing his Yankee championship rings but said he left his Red Sox ring at home. He is happy to be back with the Bombers, and, when asked what he missed most about the Yanks, said, "I missed my friends."
