do you miss...
drew bledsoe?
david patten?
damien woody?
lawyer milloy?
david givens?
deion branch?
there are more lower profile guys who were as valuable to the team, but I'm not going to list them. You get the point.
the answer to all of them is no. short term, brady will miss having givens and branch out there. there's no doubt about that. the titans are a joke this year- watch givens become a shell of his former self. branch will fare better in seattle, but please. it's seattle. this is the team who always found a way to not make the playoffs- which will be great for us. like ep said, there is evidence that shows how difficult it is to make the playoffs after a team even reaches the super bowl. please. in a few weeks, "Patriot Nation" (geez i hate "____ nation" phrases) wont even be thinking about branch.
for those who are too dense to get it, here it is: the Patriots have the stones to work a system that's been proven to work. 3 lombardi trophies. good for branch for getting his millions. i know i'd be pissed if i became a badass WR and in comes a draft pick who makes more than I after becoming a Super Bowl MVP and whatever. it's not complicated. the patriots will continue to do business their way and win. next year is projected to be a WR rich draft, so should we still have WR issues at the end of the year (which i doubt), that can easily get rectified.
