"All he does is catch touchdowns!" No, we're not talking about Mike Vrabel. Several NFL receivers have that moniker, but one Patriot has been real good at catching touchdowns over the last few years, that being Christian Fauria. Fauria caught seven touchdown passes in his first season with the Patriots (2002), but his production has been tapered since. Now, he faces a struggle with former Miami TE Jed Weaver for the third tight end slot on the Patriots (behind Daniel Graham and Benjamin Watson). Observers have given Weaver the edge thus far in camp. If Fauria is cut, it will be a shame, given not only how well he has played at tight end, and also how well he fares on onside kick coverage, but how effervescent and friendly he has always been.
